hu $1/$2

Right, i know $1/$2is way too much for my bankroll, but im so bored at playing these stakes and i just want to make or break my bank roll now. I had entered many $1/$2 (not at the same time) and my bank roll was just going up and down, down to $200 and up to $320, never exeeded $320. My bankroll was about $200 when i sat down on a hu table and bought in for $40 against 'UWHUSKEYHATER' who bought in for $200. I just increased more and more until i reached $100 or so. I then lost a few pots and had been hit down to $60 or so. From here i knew the player was weak and i could rebuild. I had QJoff on the button and raised to $6, he calls and flop was Q-9-3 with two diamonds. He checks to me and i bet $12 (as i was every pot, hand or not) and he makes it $48, i re raise him all in, the pot was around $130. He turns K-2diamonds for the flush draw, he doesnt hit and he rebuys to mae it $200. A few hands, knowing he was tilting, i had AKhearts in BB, he raises me to $6 and i re raise him to $26, he calls. Flop was 2c-4d-5s, i push for over $100 and he calls, he has A6clubs. The turn was 9c giving him the straight and flush draw. River was Kd and i take the pot. And...sure enough i leave as ive experienced losses in a similar situation. I left $290 up for the session =).

full tilt $0.50/$1 hu

I apologize profusely for my last post lol. Anyway....full tilt heads up. I was depressed, a bit tipsy, i entered a $1/$2 table, and made $80 profit easy and left. I don't remember many hands when i play heads up but i remember hitting a flush and pushing, getting called by my opponents two pair.

The winnings from that were quickly lost and my bankroll had been decreased to just $200. SnG's and tournaments were not appealing, neither were cash games with multiple players over two. So i sat in some hu cash games of 0.5/$1. I bought in for $40. I was playing 'Laudrup' who bought in for $100. The $100 soon came to me and he re bought for another $100. The hand I took most of his money was when i had 33 on the BB. He raised to $3 and i called. flop was 8-8-7,i check and he bets $6, i raise him to $18 and he pushes for a further $60, i quickly call and he turns 9-10off. He didn't hit and i was glad to take his money =). I was dominating, in the table chat he said 'you play good'. I followed that with a 'Ty' lol. I soon damaged his stack to around $50, but he kept stack around $100 all the time by re buying. It was my BB and i had A6off suit, he raised to $3 and i called, flop was A-8-3 rainbow, i check, he bets and i raise to 4x his $6 bet, he calls. Turn is an 8, i check he bets and i just call him down and he turns 8-2suited(trips) against my two pair. This put my stack down to around $120 when it was $262 (which was peak). I played a few more hands and had increased to $160 and left.

$120 up for the day

A needed change in stakes?

Bee playing a few hu cash games now, i find them extremely profitable if you find the right opponent. I think ive played 3 different opponents now, each started off well, i built my stack to about double my buy in. I knocked a few out and they re bought, then came bad beat after bad beat. Cant really complain when my A9 was up against QQ, but after came my AKs vs 8-6s all in pre flop, 8 on the river. Also, I had KJoff, i raised pre, flop was K-3-2 with two diamonds, he checks i bet and he calls, turn was a 9s. I push and he calls, he turns 9-6diamonds for pair of nines and a flush draw. The river came a 9. Played more and just suffered bad beat after bad beat =(. I played this morning and i faced a real fish, i took him for his buy in, he re-bought, i took that and same again. I then left and came on after a break. I lost all my winnings from previous opponent and more to someother guy. Really not happy at the moment. Also i played a 90 seater $20+$2 SnG, I placed 10th and 9th place was the money, i was looking good for the final table where the chip leader got lucky on the river to make a straight.

Do i need to change my stakes?

My First Hu Cash Game

After a good day on the SnG's I felt that playing multiple SnG's a day would make me the most profit. So, next day, after deciding what is best to boost my bank roll, i played 5, $11 SnG's of 6 seaters (to start). I came 2nd in the first two and finished out of the cash positions in the others. I then tried a 6th SnG's after a 30 minute break and ended up leaving within 20 minutes. I ended up about -$24 down. I also tried a few tourneys with rubbish results. Not the best day!

My bankroll damaged and it stood at around $316 or so. The last few days or weeks i have not been able to play to the best of my ability, my lack of concentration and irritation with myself left me in low self esteem and self harming on the money side of things. This is mainly due to me and my girlfriend splitting up. Anyway, i spent the day with my girlfriend 3 weeks after splitting up looking after my two younger brothers. We ended up talking and we both came to agreement we still love eachother. We are back together now and i figure its time to get my poker sorted.

I did say I would leave cash games, but i felt happy and i thought it might be worth a shot to see if my mood was profitable. I started playing two tables, 9 seater 0.50/$1 and bought in for $20 on each. On one table it was soon gone so i bought in for another $20, didnt start to well, i was in for $60 and i had $35 between both tables, no hands recorded but i started to really focus. I played some great poker and built a stack of $80 on one table while the other remained short stacked. I left about $25 up in the end.

After a break, I was drawn to the hu cash game of 0.50/$1, i entered with $40, i played royalflush_as_. I was watching the player about 15-20 minutes before and picked up some kind of read. Anyway, after 5 minutes i was on $65, the guy was a total fish, my peak was around $80. I didnt record the hand, but i then lost a big pot and left me damaged to around $40, my lowest was about $34. I claimed i had to leave in 5 mins. I then, being the fish that he is, built my stack to around $73 and left. At the end i was +$33.

Multiple Wins On The SnG's

After losing a large portion of my bank roll, i have decided to leave out ring games for now, I played a couple of 9 seater SnG's and lost, my bank roll went down to $148. I then realised im better playing shrt handed, i started playing 6 seater SnG's for the first time. $12 and winner takes $42.90. So I played a lot of these in a row. The first one i won with ease :). 2nd one i got a bit lucky to end up heads up:

I had KK on the button, first position raises, i just call and BB calls. Flop comes 3-10-Q. 1st to act bets half his stack, 2nd players raises all in (i am chip leader) i call and BB calls all in, BB flips QJ and 1st position turns AA......turn is a 6 and river is a king for my set. This takes me to heads up and i win that SnG. 3rd one i also win with no real memorable hands. this brought my bank roll back up to $442. I decided to carry on playing the 6 seater SnG until i got bored because the success i was having has been far superior to any other in recent times.

The 4th i entered i made it to 3 handed, i bluffed all in with 9-6 from the SB ad got called with A9. And the 5th i didt quite manage to cash out so i left it there,

Starved From The Action

Last few weeks i haven't been able to play online poker, my computer broke and i missed not being able to play. Fortunately, after over two weeks of boredom and what i can only describe as the worst few weeks of my life (not because of poker), i am back tearing up the tables (or so i wish).

I got back into playing, and started off by playing some $11 9 seater SnG's, won a few, lost a lot more. Gradually going down on the first day of return. Playing a ring game on the 2nd day, bought in for $40. A few hands in, its my BB and i have AK offsuit. It folds to the button who raises pot. Sb folds and i re raise him and he pushes for total of $12 or so, i call and i have him dominated with AK vs AQ. Board comes: {10-7-2}{2}{Q}. Not very happy and start to lose so i leave.

Not a lot to tell you about the first few days of my return really, been playing a lot of SnG's with very little success, and managed to damage my bankroll by $150 in the first three days. Been trying to do well in the daily double tournaments on full tilt. Didn't do very well in the first two. My third one, i managed to squeeze into the money just about, i had a very low stack after (one of the three lowest with 1,800 around, and the average was 12,000). Wasn't looking too good, but i soon doubled up, and again straight after bringing me to 10,000. Was looking more healthy and a few hands later i got dealt JJ, I raised 3xBB, there was a re raise all in, i called. JJ vs 55 and it brought my stack to just over 23,000. I reached 56,000 in chips when there were 50 players left, was in a reasonable position to reach the final table. I was playing well. I got dealt JJ in mid position, i raised 3x BB, BB calls, flop is 2-8-8, he checks, i bet pot and he pushes me all in, i call and he turns QQ, that was me out of the tourney, i cant complain, i played well, not with the desired results in the end. It was a cheap way to go out. Finished 48th out of 913 and cashed $23.78 (not really worth 4 hours of poker, i didn't even make a profit :( ah wel.......
