BLAAHHH!!

Here i go again, ranting and raving at the 'shit' play that gets lucky at low stakes. It gets so irritating! How many times do the poker sites want to reward the fish just so they will stay and make them more money?? And yes, i do think online poker is rigged, maybe not all, but some sites for definite. Blah blah blah at all the people who say it isn't and its just variance or whatever!! Ive lost my last 3 rolls, wasn't much to lose but still pissed off. Although i cannot play as well as i used to i still think i can play better than a lot of the players on these sites. But i like to play against stronger players because at least they know when to fold!

Everything is looking up though on the 'non-poker' side of things just to mention. I now have two jobs to earn me a bit of money, the new one is working behind the bar at a local pub which i quite like, you get to socialise while working which is alright. Working Christmas eve which is an ass but can't wait for Christmas day....just a big laze and a lush meal....and i got 3 =) here we come weight watchers ;)

hope you all have a good one

laters,

yours truly

The only way to get better play is to up your stakes. $1/$2 aint gonna play the same as $10/$20. People at the upper table play with brains and skill and not rely on luck cause, "its only a couple of bucks on the line".

Dude,

you do not lose at poker when your opponants play worse than you. thats just how losing small stakes rationolise thier poor performance "if only i had the roll for $2K nl, then i could really play and win against decent opponants!" complete nonsense.
focus on getting better at poker by participating in forum discusion and hand anaylisis rather than bitching and your results will improve.

Hey,

I saw your post on another blog and figured I’d check yours out and give you a headsup about a WPT giveaway I’m running this year.

A lot of players want to participate in a 10K buyin event, but most lack the skills or experience, so if I gave that way it would be like giving away a lottery ticket. Unless they got very lucky they probably wouldn’t do much with it.

So I tried to come up with something that I felt would be a much better prize for the majority of poker players. I’m giving away a WPT Battle For The Season Pass III package this year on my site.

You can win a weeklong vacation in the Bahamas, training from the pros (over 20 in attendance last year) and entry into up to three tournaments while you’re down there. One of the tournaments is a 3-day deep-stacked event with a number of WPT, cash and boot camp prizes. The grand prize is a $100,000 WPT Season Pass plus $10K in cash for expenses.

You can use the WPT Season Pass to enter any World Poker Tour events you want (ten 10K events, a mix of 5K, 15K, etc)

The first free satellite is being held on Full Tilt Poker Sunday, February 10th, 2008 at 14:00 (2pm EST)

Right now there's only 34 players signed up, the top 4 advance to a single-table semi-final in February. The fields aren't going to get any smaller as word of this promotion spreads. So if you want in, you'll want to play some of the earlier events to have less competition.

Hope the tables & life are treating you well, and I hope you’ll take a shot at winning this prize!

Also, feel free to contact me via email from my site, perhaps we can work out a way for you to put our banner up on your blog. Would love the opportunity to work with you! Contact@rakereport.net

The principle of a sudden, a poker game, and more broadly the sequence in time of all poker games, is to take risks. But calculated risks!

Depending on your card, you can manage your money tokens you invest something to earn more, if as they say "the game worth the candle." You should always ask yourself several questions in one go:

1 - How much should I bet, now and later? (since, of course, there will be several betting rounds).

2 - What is the return? Will I earn enough for the risk I am taking?

It is only after answering these two questions that you can commit.

It makes you a glimpse of the notion of "dimension". Whether you engage an amount, you should not only think about what you might lose, you must at the same time, always evaluate your chances of winning and how much you win. What matters is not so much the risk you take, but whether it is a "good" risk statistically.

An example outside of poker, the game of heads or tails. The risk is obvious: you have a chance to win two on Poker USA . With each stroke, you agree, say, 1 euro. You know what you could lose. Now, we must ask the question: "How will I earn?". If the opponent offers 1.20 if you win, then you are advantaged, take the risk. You can even increase your bet and play 10 euros on every shot. But if the opponent offers to win 0, 95 euro, then we must refuse to play! You will indeed win many blows the other one but you in the long run, your earnings will not cover your losses. STATISTICALLY, you will lose for sure.
